EMPHASIS: Patrol Unveils New Web Site

Colonel James F. Keathley, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, invites the public to visit the Patrol at www.mshp.dps.mo.gov. After months of redesigning and updating, the Patrol’s home page has a new look. It is hoped this new home page will provide information in a more user friendly format. The sex offender registry, online traffic crash reports, online arrest reports, and news releases remain available to the public via this web site. However, the site provides an added feature--a graphic showing statewide traffic crash fatality totals, which will be updated every day at 10 a.m. Top news stories are still available on the home page, and special topics--recruiting information, safety messages, and tributes to our fallen heroes--have been added on the right side. Information about each troop headquarters and division, Patrol publications, and helpful links remains available.

“In our society, advanced technology is part of every day life. The Internet is a major source of information,” said Colonel Keathley. “The Patrol’s web site is a way for us to provide the most current information possible to the citizens of Missouri. I hope you’ll visit us at www.mshp.dps.mo.gov.”
