Troop H Announces Click It Or Ticket Enforcement Project Results
A total of 17 citations and 35 warnings were issued, along with one misdemeanor warrant arrest in conjunction with a Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement operation conducted in Buchanan County on May 8, 2016. Totals from this enforcement effort include:
9--speed citations
3--seat belt citations
3--nonmoving violation citations
2--uninsured motorist citations
1--misdemeanor warrant arrest
"Motorist can protect themselves by making sure they always wear their seat belt," said Captain James E. McDonald, Troop H commanding officer. "The Missouri State Highway Patrol urges all motorist to give 100% of their attention to the task of driving."
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri's roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober. "Don't Violate The Trust."
