EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Promotion



Colonel Roger D. Stottlemyre announced the following promotion effective June 26, 2005:



Corporal Deborah S. Miller was promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain in her present assignment with the Governor’s Security Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO.



Miller was appointed to the Patrol in August 1993, as a member of the 66th Recruit Class. Upon completing her training at the Patrol’s Academy, she was assigned to Troop D, Zone 15, Stone County. In addition to her road duties, she served as a crisis negotiator for the Troop D SERT. In July 2001, Miller transferred to her present position within the Governor’s Security Division.



Sergeant Miller was born in Independence, MO. She graduated from Gainesville High School in Gainsville, MO. In 1994, she earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO. Sgt. Miller is a volunteer for Special Olympics Missouri.
