EMPHASIS: Death of Knox City, Missouri resident being investigated as a Homicide





On Friday, October 6, 2006, at approximately 9:20 a.m., the Knox County Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence in Knox City, Missouri, where Larry G. Callahan, 57, was found dead of an apparent gun shot wound. Investigators with the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control were called to the scene to assist the Knox County Sheriff’s Department. After a thorough on-scene investigation and autopsy, the cause of death has been classified as a homicide. Officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department are continuing the investigation.
