EMPHASIS: Felony Methamphetamine Arrest in Wayne County

On November 29, 2006, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Trooper N. T Bratton arrested Sheila Cobb, 36, of Williamsville, Missouri, for felony possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute (meth amphetamine).

Cobb was arrested after Trooper Bratton initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 67 near Greenville, Missouri, in Wayne County. While a search for weapons was being conducted, drug paraphernalia was located. A further search of the vehicle revealed 23 individually wrapped baggies containing a clear crystal substance identified as meth amphetamine. Cobb was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department where a cash bond of $50,000.00 was set.

The charge for which Sheila Cobb was arrested is a mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
