The Missouri Data Exchange (MoDEx) is a statewide initiative to allow sharing of agency incident data.
This course provides students with an overview of the Information Sharing systems (National Data Exchange and the Missouri Law Enforcement Data Exchange) available in Missouri. Each of these systems provide criminal justice agencies with the ability to share and retrieve information in order to quickly and securely find leads, solve and prevent crimes, and promote public safety. Within this course, students will be made aware of the National Data Sharing Policy as well as an overview of the analytical tools available within each database. Students will be given a hands on scenario with step-by-step directions that can be completed at his/her own pace.
Law Enforcement personnel who utilize intelligence gathering to aid in furthering investigations. Students must be approved for system access prior to attending this course. For approval, please contact the Information Sharing Access and Training Unit.
